7. They Do Not Have Humility

We already discussed how luck can play a big role in your success. Because you are taking advantage of the opportunities that arise, you aren’t solely responsible for your own success. In addition to getting help from the randomness of luck, you also have to consider all the people that helped you along the way. Acknowledging your mentors, assistants, friends, and other members of your support system, is crucial to building a loyal team and for the long term success of the people in your support system.

You cannot do everything yourself, so working with other people is essential. As soon as you learn to appreciate the people around you and show them that you’re grateful for their assistance, you will discover that the people who want to work with you are willing to go above and beyond what you think is necessary. Your humility will also attract more talented and higher-performing people to your team.

Unlike luck, humility is something that is entirely within your control. It’s an attitude and a state of mind that you alone have the power to create. You will absolutely help yourself along the road to success and overcome all obstacles in your way when you let humility guide you.
